The List

More interesting would be Rob's photograph of Miss Connecticut at the New Britain Rock Cat's final game of the 2006 season, a 3-2 loss to the Harrisburg Senators -- Tim Raines Jr. and Denard Span hit lead-off respectively for the Senators and Rock Cats -- but he can't find it. Instead, we have Mabelynn Capeluj, Miss California USA 2013, throwing a baseball in shoes unfit for standing in.

Ceremonial first pitch; August 16, 2013

When we took our first road trips, we did so simply because travel and baseball are fun and can be combined.  We not only never set out to see every team in America but, when asked, denied that was the goal.

The years pass, the number of teams add up and motivations change. When we had seen about two-thirds of the then 190 teams in affiliated baseball (excluding the instructional leagues), it seemed time to take stock. Following the 2017 "Midwest Clean-Up" trip, we had seen every team between the Erie SeaWolves and the Reno Aces.

Teams in the various independent leagues are noted as "ind" and collegiate summer league teams are indicated by "col."  For the years indicated, teams marked [R] were only seen by Rob; those marked [M] were seen only by Melvin.
